About Me

Hello there

This website was launched in 2023 in hopes of creating a community for those striving for better mental health and an accepting environment to do so. If you struggle to find ways to cope mentally or simply believe you could be in a healthier mental state, you’ll feel right at home here. Through this website, you’ll be able to read about personal experiences, health tips, find resources, and learn more about the topics that surround mental health.

Many of these posts will be supported by research articles or journals, discussions from professionals, and things I’ve picked up during my studies while acquiring a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology as well as an ongoing Master’s in Psychology but I personally am not medically licensed. Rather I simply want to be exposure to mental health but I am not here to diagnose anyone.

Hello, my name (or nickname rather) is Liyah and I’m a current graduate student studying psychology with a specialty in industrial-organizational psychology. I recently started blogging in order to create a creative outlet for myself. I also figured I could bring light to mental health and illness for those more curious about it. My goal is simply to create a space for myself and others to freely explore mental health and what it means for all of us personally. My identity is currently anonymous because I don’t want the focus on me but rather on the community we are all building together.

“Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you doesn’t mean you can, should, or need to do it alone”
